Many of us has a problem on how to enable again our computer's Task Manager if it was disabled by some unknown malware/s. Some people usually reformatting again their computers if this problem exist and some also are risking a registry change or what you called registry hack. As an administrator of your computer, you can enable or disable the TaskManager without reformatting your computer or editting the registry (regedit) by just using Group Policy Editor.
Here's the steps:
- Click Start
- Click Run
- Enter gpedit.msc in the Open box and click OK
- In the Group Policy settings window:
- Select User Configuration
- Select Administrative Templates
- Select System
- Select Ctrl+Alt+Delete options
- Select Remove Task Manager
- Double-click the Remove Task Manager option
And as I mentioned above, since the policy is
Remove Task Manager, by disabling the policy, you are enabling the Task Manager.
and that's it! your Task Manager is working again!.. ツ
