Research has shown that dark chocolate has even more antioxidants than the acai berry or blueberries.

We all want to enjoy life at its fullest. And eating dark chocolate stimulates endorphin production which gives a feeling of pleasure. It also acts as an anti-depressant and at the same time contains a natural stimulant called theobromine.

We can see that all these good ingredients in chocolate make it beneficial to our health. However, we need to remember that the usual form that chocolate comes in – chocolate bars, candy, etc. – contains 11-15% chocolate while the rest are such ingredients as milk, sugar, wax, caffeine, and saturated fats. Also, in producing chocolate e find that it goes through lots of processes that can change the original pure form to something less desirable. These processes are: fermentation, alkalizing and roasting. So it’s important to pick good quality dark chocolate, not milk chocolate or white chocolate.
